This 1954 home is one of the earliest examples of Modern architecture in the area, designed by a well-known local architect for a family important to the community. The home is a local historic landmark, located within a national historic district. As is the case with all homes, it has something it wants to become so as to best provide a supportive environment for the current family. Likewise, the architecture has things it wants to become that are in keeping with its concept and the current times. A good way to determine some of this is to ask, "What would the original architect have done in designing the home today, for the current family?" In these photographs you will find before and after images showing the response to that question.
