This "gem in the rough" traditional home design originally created by locally famous Henry Van Eaton Sprinkle had been on the market longer than a prime location overlooking a green on a Country Club golf course would have suggested. My client recognized removing years of overgrowth would reconnect the rear of the home to the green and to long views down the fairway. The underlying contemporary forms of the home were also recognized and there was a desire to expand upon that style with a new modern home design. Originally, there had been no covered parking so a carport was added with a covered walk connecting to a newly positioned Entry Foyer, cabinetry for coats and drop-off. The original individual room layout on the main level was opened up to provide visual connection between the Living Area, Dining Area, Kitchen and a Piano Area. New modern-style dormers on the upper level create expanded Primary Bedroom Suite and Home Office areas overlooking the long views down the fairway. Extensive landscaping creates a private courtyard on the street side of the home. Outdoor cooking, dining and sitting areas overlook pools of water connected by a babbling brook on the rear of the home. Constructed by L.E.
